What if someone else volunteered to do it for you?  And what if it were free too?!

Here’s one option for you to kill the tax prep bill – some free assistance that’s not too far of a distance. . .

If you live in Livingston, then you can make an appointment to have your taxes prepared free of charge by trained and certified volunteers until April 15th.

The United Way of North Essex Family Success Center — in partnership with the Tax Aide Program of the AARP Foundation, the IRS and the Montclair Public Library is providing the free tax prep service for personal income taxes.

All Livingston residents are eligible!  Here are the details to gain access to the free tax preparation help:

Appointments must be made and are available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 12 noon and Tuesdays 10a-2p.

United Way Building, 60 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair – Thursday, Friday or Saturday, 9a-12noon

Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue  – Tuesdays 10a-2p)
