On The 13th Day Of Christmas — We Mulched The Tree

Posted by admin on Jan 14, 2008 in Uncategorized

Christmas trees live on beyond Christmas in Livingston township now.

The Department of Public Works is picking up Christmas trees curbside once a week for this whole month of January. And guess what they’re going to do with all those trees?

The trees are going to be put through the chipper and become mulch. In fact, you can now call the township and ask for a free delivery of 2-yards of tree mulch for your backyard. Yes, it has greens in them, but if you’re looking for filler (perhaps beneath a top-layer of better mulch?) this is perfect and also environmentally conscious of course.
