Seen Around Town

Posted by admin on Nov 14, 2007 in borders books, funny

Have you seen this sign in Livingston?

HINT: Of all places, it’s actually a kid-friendly place.
You can read it where there’s tons of other books and magazines and kid’s reading materials to read too (and buy). Which is near the BORDER(s) of Livingston…

Snap Crackle POP in Livingston

Posted by admin on Nov 13, 2007 in Uncategorized

We’re not talking breakfast here.

At 9:10 a.m. on November 13th in front of the St. Philomena’s church on South Livingston Avenue, a transformer blew up or something major happened…

I was driving by and after I passed the church and stopping for the next light, there was a super bright flash of lightening in the sky; the traffic lights went out and when looking back in the mirror, it just looked like a massive white light fireworks display on a telephone pole on the south bound side of South Livingston Avenue. Everyone just stopped dead in the street, not moving any cars for a couple of minutes.

The police station said they’d check it out and in 5-10 minutes, you could see a bunch of emergency vehicles racing to the scene…

I wonder what happened…

A Very Liquid Experience

Posted by admin on Nov 12, 2007 in liquid church, morristown, nj, tim lucas

If you’re in Essex or Morris County, you have to head over to the Morristown Hyatt at least once on a Sunday.

Liquid Church has taken over the conference and meeting space in the hotel every Sunday to carry our 3 church worship services – 10am, 4pm, 6:30pm.

Led by Pastor Tim Lucas, it’s definitely one of the contemporary post-modern church experiences everyone should have at least once. More than likely, you’ll fall in love with the energy and tangibly “feeling” people worship God.

This ain’t the church you grew up with. Get ready to experience worship in a very very new way.

I thought this worship style was only available on the West Coast at a New Song Church or North Coast Church type setting, but East Coasters definitely can have it too!

Vacation Bug With Ears

Posted by admin on Nov 7, 2007 in disney, disney world, florida, orlando, vacation

As it officially gets chilly around town, it’s time to start thinking about a warm winter vacation!

Our family loves heading south to visit the kids’ mecca — Orlando, FL.

If you’re headed south to Disney or the surrounding areas of Orlando, it’s definitely a great way to ensure great childhood memories for your kids. But the astronomical costs could make it a different kind of memory for your wallet.

If you’re thinking about going to Disneyworld, I’m sure you’re asking around for tips from anyone else that you know has gone recently. If each person offers just one single tip that might save you time and money, or direct you in the way of better sights and scenes, it’s worth it, right?

How about advice from an ex-Disney employee? Beth Harworth, an former Disney employee has written a guide for the Happiest Place on Earth, that’s updated monthly.

In addition to tips on how to save money on tickets, lodging, airfare, etc. She offers advice on tons of different topics for you Disney vacation like:

disney worldWhat to Do On a Rainy Day – Yes, it rains in sunny Florida as well! Solve that problem with fun and adventurous tips

disney worldThe One Park You Should Visit Last! (Especially with young children.) This one will definitely surprise you!

disney worldHungry? Find out what’s OK to bring inside the Parks with you – and what you should leave at the hotel.

disney worldHow To Beat Those Long Lines – Did you know it makes a difference if you stand in the Right or Left line? It does – find out which one typically moves the fastest.

disney worldHidden Entrances – There are several “shortcuts” to theme parks and attractions – bypassing most of the crowds.

How much were you guestimating that you’d pay for the entire trip including airfare, taxi to the hotel, lodging, meals, souvenirs, tickets and all the other little expenses that add up? Your vacation is going to set you back a couple of thousand dollars, right?

Well, for $30 (and it comes with a money-back guarnatee) it’s probably worth the money to read this guide and find at least one tip that will make your money back on your purchase.

A dentist that your kids will want to go back to is at the Livingston Pediatric Dental Associates:315 East Northfield Avenue / telephone number 973-992-5555.

It’s also the home of the magical tooth fairy – literally — an animatronic tooth fairy that comes alive and talks to the kids after their visit.

This is a dentist’s office that is a place that your kids definitely want to go back to because the staff is so friendly and Dr. Sharine Sommers is ready to see them.

Cheap ink. Cheap service.

Posted by admin on Nov 6, 2007 in Uncategorized
Cheap ink in this case comes with free cheap service.

One place I personally will not go back for inkjet cartridge refills is the Cartridge World Store on South Livingston Avenue in Livingston, New Jersey.

Jay, the owner, just does not get proper customer service. When things go wrong, he assumes he’s right and perfect and YOU , the customer, are all wrong.

Not a way to treat a customer in a business that kind of depends on repeat business.

It’s up to you to decide for yourself, but for me personally, I’m not going back to CartridgeWorld anytime soon.

With winter around the corner and these chills already happening, it’s time to start thinking about shoveling your driveway.

…or hiring Angelo who I personally recommend from All-Pro Contracting.

Angelo’s the type of guy who will show up when needed, do a great job and also friendly while doing it.

Go ahead and call Angelo to set it up for the winter: Cell phone number 201-259-8975.
